The wonderful rock and mountains of Mallorca are now well known to most climbers and the Island has established itself as a favourite winter-sun destination. There is an incredible variety in the climbing available and plenty to keep anyone busy, from the huge walls of Sa Gubia to the 30m pumping-tufas of Fraguel; from the barely-tapped splendour of Alaró to the intricate delights of Creveta. It is perhaps the atmosphere and the setting which provide the greatest attraction: beautiful cliffs of perfect rock, set amidst some majestic mountains and with the weather that you would expect in the Mediterranean.
Mallorca has firmly established on the destination list for all European climbers after winter sun. Up to now the only real source of information on the climbing has come from Rockfax with three print publications and one online guidebook. This new single area dedicated book is a logical step for us to take and represents a perfect and long-lasting publication for any advertiser offering everything from climbing kit, to Mallorcan accommodation and from travel insurance to adventure holidays.
