High Sports are looking to recruit a Business Manager for their climbing wall based at the Life Centre in Plymouth.

As Business Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective climbing programme for all our users, including, juniors, students and adults from absolute beginners through to competition standard climbers. The programme will need to meet key commercial and participation criteria.

You will also have responsibility for the day to day management of the centre and an existing team of full time and part time Duty Managers and Instructors.

Customer service, marketing, team management and retail experience are considered highly relevant skills, along with any direct experience working or managing within the climbing industry.

We would expect a suitable candidate to be an active climber with a keen eye for best practise at a climbing wall. MLT training/awards are desirable but not essential. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential along with a sound knowledge of MS products.

The Plymouth wall is the largest facility in the South West with a 16m lead wall, 48 rope lines and a large dedicated bouldering hall. There is also a small ropes course and Mammut retail shop at the site.
