Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor equipment. Our experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world. Due to expansion we are now looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a small team, who will be responsible for the following:
Reporting to the Buying Manager you will be expected to raise purchase orders on multiple factories via an ERP system, whilst liaising closely with international offices to progress and manage purchase orders through to delivery.
Additional duties will involve overseeing packaging requirements and economising incoming freight by working closely with freight forwarding partners. You will also be expected to take ownership of the outstanding purchase order book and work with key stakeholders and other departments to ensure an economical and efficient delivery to customers.
The successful candidate will be an experienced in Supply Chain ideally with experience in the retail industry, however this is not essential. Experience of dealing with factories in the Far East would advantageous.
We are looking for a well organised individual, with excellent communication skills, strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. At least 3 years previous experience in a similar position is essential. You will also have a sound knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages.
As a conscientious individual you will be self motivated and must be able to work within a team and on your own initiative, with minimal supervision. In addition you will ideally be educated to Degree level or hold a relevant qualification.
The role will include some UK and overseas travel.
Experience of using Navision or a similar accounting software would be an advantage.
Hours of work are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 2pm, Friday. The salary on offer will be, dependent upon experience.
