Boulder Central, The West Midlands' biggest bouldering centre, will be hosting Mega Comp for the second year running on Sunday 9th March. After the success of last year’s event, this year we are aiming to make it even bigger and better!

Mega Comp is a full day event, combining competitive climbing with fun activities and live music.

The competition has 6 categories; male and female Open, Fun and U16. Route setting for all categories will be from seven time British Climbing champion Gaz Parry as well as Boulder Central’s own Jonny Argue. The Open category will have a qualifying round and a world cup style final.

There is a huge prize fund available for each category, including a top prize of £275 for each of the Open male and female categories. We will also be giving away prizes for other events throughout the day, all courtesy of the event sponsors Axis Holds, Red Chili and Wild Country.

Other highlights of the day include-

  • Complementary buffet (competitors only)
  • Music from a DJ throughout the day
  • Demonstration and use of Wild Country’s ‘Crack Machine’
  • Raffle

Entry is a standard day pass + £3 if bought in advance (£5 on the day). Tickets can be bought from Boulder Central's online shop here. Spectators are also welcome for no charge.

For more information about the Mega Comp including details on the day plan, visit Boulder Central’s website here.
