A centre of national repute, Beacon Climbing Centre is located in Caernarfon, just outside the Snowdonia National Park, and offers some of the best indoor climbing in the UK.
- Roped climbing walls extending up to 17m in height and varying in angle from the steep competition wall with over 30 routes up to F8a/b and host to national competitions, to more vertical or slabby walls with grades from F3. The centre also offers a 15m IFSC Speed Climbing route replica with a Perfect Descent auto belay unit.
- Bouldering areas with multi-angled climbing from tenuous slabs to upside down journeys, and featuring colour coded circuits with over 100 problems covering all styles of climbing.
- Dedicated training area with a large digital Kilter Board, a full size Campus board with Metolius rungs, Beastmaker finger boards, Lattice testing & training rungs and gymnastic rings.
- CrazyClimb for younger climbers with over 15 different wacky climbing challenges. No previous climbing experience is required and the facility uses fully automated safety systems.
Instructional courses are available for all ages and all abilities, and everyone is welcome irrespective of whether they wish to use the climbing facilities. If you're visiting with friends or family but not climbing, or just want to look around, check out the cafe located upstairs - featuring a large balcony seating area with spectacular views overlooking the climbing walls and free WiFi.
