The latest edition of the Dorset Rockfax features the now widely acclaimed full-page colour topos, and includes all the new lines in the areas previously covered, as well as many entirely new sectors. The crags are illustrated using bigger topos and there is a complete new set of action photos. This new Rockfax guide will concentrate on Portland, Swanage and Lulworth, covering all the sport routes in these areas, and also the bulk of the quality trad climbing at Swanage and Lulworth. Coverage of bouldering and deep water soloing, along with all the routes in Devon have migrated from this book.
Rockcat Sept 2013:
In Dorset Logistics / Portland accommodation (page 18) in the latest Dorset guide, Glen Caravan Park is listed with "very basic static caravans". This gives an erroneous impression as this caravan park has a full range of caravans including many full service caravans which include gas heating / cooking / shower and toilet. The 6 berth full service caravans are great for 4 people and cost only £50 each for a week at the end of September making this caravan park the obvious choice for those staying at Portland. Its also opposite the cuttings. Cove Holiday Park is good but very expensive - http://www.glencaravanpark.co.uk/
