Covers the area from the Vallee de la Claree down to Embrun up to the Italian border in the East and Ailefroide in the west. Good maps showing location of crags and either good sketches or photo topos showing the climbing. Not quite a rockfax but a really good guidebook for the region - it has 70 pages dedicated to the area around Ailefroide alone and the information is more accessible than the other crag guidebook "Escalades autour d'ailefroide". The Rolland guidebook can be bought locally at any outdoor shop for €29 or at a reduced price from local resident Jerry Gore - www.alpbase.com The money is used by the guidebook founder Jean Jacques Rolland to help manage and equip the crags.
