Enjoyable climbing. The icefall up the initial terrace was in good condition, but I managed to miss it by not looking properly. So I struggled uo mixed ground instaed. The rest of the route is straight forward. Take the main ice column on the right at the moment, using the gap between the column and the rock, before swinging round left onto the column. No rock gear available at the moment, abseiled off V-threads.

A bit blustery on the walk in but not too bad once in the upper coire. Good ice on the top 2 pitches, first time abbing off abalakovs, very exciting!

Slightly dodgy snow conditions with alot of slab about so opted for Umbrella Falls with a safer top out after rapping off the steeper left hand Start. Fantastic route with a steeop crux pitch (no umbrella) with the ice varrying from brilliant to brittle. Lead P2, but left the rest to Graham.

By far my hardest winter route at the time and part of a great epic weekend. We finished in the dark, me without a waterproof/windproof and Ken without a headtorch. We bumslid down a grade I gully on the south side of the ridge and eventually picked our way through the rocks to the road. The kind lady who gave us a lift back to the car turned out to be married to the head of the local mountain rescue and was pleased to hear we didn't think there was anyone else still up there!
