We'd gone out without a guidebook intending to have a play on some easy ice, and ended up climbing the hardest thing we did all week! I think this is the route we did - the guidebook is very vague, there are two icefalls that could fit the description. The one we did was a lot harder than II/III - not done any proper IVs to compare but it was harder than any III I've done so I'd say at least III 4.
