Soloed to the fork to West Gully, then Luke lead P1(40m), I lead P2(55m) to the top. There was another party, so we took the direct line without realising it was the direct line. Enjoyable! masa-alpin - AltLd O/S - 07/Mar/10 with P Luke
Excellent. Ran top two pitches together, Jamie lead 1st. confusicating - AltLd - 06/Mar/10 with Clare, Jamie
Really nice climbing, lead first pitch up the slab which was thin to belay in the crack, spied a nice line on the LHS so moved over to do the direct variant instead. Took the top step on the left which was a tad steep! JamieSparkes - AltLd O/S - 06/Mar/10

Was going to do the indirect version but it wasn't in condition. By the time we could see into the short gully, retreat would have been tricky so was forced into doing the direct, which was good fun. Some variable ice on the first pitch, and cruddy snow near the end, but good ice where it mattered. A bit damp in places. Toreador - Lead - 14/Feb/10 with Peri, Carmen
simon led all the hard stuff, ie pitches 1 and 3, I just did a short very gentle ice pitch and the snow slope at the end. grade 4 pitch felt very steep! well down simon, most impressed. Whole thing was running with water, I had water running up my arm at the belay and squeezed stream out of my gloves. and watching melting bits of route drop off without outside intervention as we climbed was thought provoking...;-D pebbles - 14/Feb/10 with carmen
Will led P1 to a good crack belay on right. I led through heading for the steep bits, I thought it was all meant to be III - didn't realise there was a direct, but then i didn't know the route name either :-) Fat ice and some rubbish snow, steep steps with good screws. Will got the top bit to the chandelier cave/recess and traverse out on good ice for axes and terrible snow for feet. Good route. lithos - AltLd - 14/Feb/10
Led pitch 1 (easy but crudy ice) and 3 (each but crudy snow). Rob did a good job leading the steep crux second pitch (on excellent ice) with a spasming back! On the walk down we got a look at the top pitch of West Gully which looked fabulous and steep for the grade. Will Smith - AltLd O/S - 14/Feb/10 with Rob
