Nowhere near as hard as it looks from below. Heed the ridge scrambling mantra "stick to the crest". There are lots of rubbishy but less exposed lines off to the left (in ascent) which leave you with a slightly sketchy climb onto the summit, however if you stay on the crest you'll find that it's a fairly simple walk across exposed, sloping but grippy slabs with a few little moves thrown in. I used a rope and a mix of direct and body belays to give my second confidence that she wasn't going to slide off into space but really it's a pretty easy route. I'd say nothing more than grade 2.

A great ridge scramble, fairly easy about grade 1/2 to start but some harder and more exposed scrambling nearer the summit. There is also a very exposed narrow slab that must be crossed just before the summit. Great scramble, highly recommend.

Great route actually, despite the label of "tourist route", it has a nice feel to it, with some imposing views on the way up. Mostly a walk with some mild scrambling, some of which is optional until the last few metres to the summit. This final part gives it the grade 3, but in my opinion was probably grade 2 if you get the right line. Saw brocken spectre on summit but gone by the time I got my camera out.

Can't remember it being too hard, just very exposed near the top. Gabbro rock is rough and grippy so feels pretty secure.

Alison did not do the final rock slabs but waited patiently in the swirling mist for my return.
