Really lucky with conditions. Stayed in Cosmiques on Monday night and were out on the cosmique route by 6am for a 9 hour summit day. (Apparently some of the best conditions on the mountain in the last 15 years.) Unfortunately we couldn't see anything on the summit and by the time we got back to the hut around 3pm for beers, the fog had closed in and the majority of people making an attempt the following day were denied by the strong winds.

Climbed to tete rousse on the 12th. 4am start from the tete rousse hut to the summit in under 5 hours, and back to the tete rousse hut in 3.30 hrs. back down to charmonix valley on the same day.

Via the Three Monts route. Bivi at 4260m for a short summit leg. Summit day saw strong winds, blowing spindrift and temps of about -15 with windchill. Long and tiring but definitely worth it.

Left Abri Vallot with the sunrise and followed the footsteps of some Poles who'd stayed with us the night before (thank for the snacks). Before halfway they turned back as there was a lot of fresh snow and didn't know how steep the drop was from the ridge. Mike powered forward taking an interesting alternative route through the rocks on the right of the ridge. After this we popped back on the ridge and booted fresh tracks to the summit. AWESOME!

Three peaks route. Bivvyed on Vallee Blanche then summitted via Col du Mt Maudit. On way down went over the summit of Maudit to avoid the col. Blue skies. Long day. Set off at midnight to beat the queues at the Bergshrund. Good move. Just managed to catch the 4pm cable car down. Amazing day. Rope + an axe each.

Our ascent began in the direction of the Refuge de Tête Rousse and then through the Goûter Corridor, considered dangerous because of frequent rock-falls, leading to Goûter cabin for night shelter. The next day the route leads to the Dôme du Goûter, the Vallot cabin and L'arrête des Bosses.
