Fouska* 7a+
['Fouska' A 7a on Kalymnos, 4 kb]

Rockfax Description
Excellent steep climbing in the back of the cave on good holds. After an easy start, things get more strenuous, finishing with some wide bridging positions and disorientating full-body twists. Sadly the crux for most is the long reach to clip the lower-off. Grabbing a quickdraw in the lower-off makes the route about 6c+. © ROCKFAX

One for the contortionists, bridging out isn't as easy as it looks from the deck.

Gave it a go as the draws were in. Far too powerful!
Dawn_K_B - TR dnf - 13/Apr/14 with Alex McCann

Had a half arsed attempt 2 years ago. sent first time today. bridging at my full leg stretch meant it wasn't overly pumpy. stripping was a total ball-ache though.
benkelsey - Lead β - 11/Apr/14 with Shaun Humphreys

Second go. Very thuggish. Hard to onsight due to the dazzling amount of chalked up holds. If you get on and check out the holds you may find throwing big moves between the good holds works best.

Bad day at the office...relatively easy climbing until the last bolt, couldn't hold anything to clip the chains then had an absolute epic trying to clean the route.

What a route! Short but very steep and what a finish. Thanks to Mike for the beta on making the final clip, and for helping me clean the gear. 7a in the guide-book but feels like a 7a+

chalked to the hilt, which makes an onsight pretty tough because there are so many pockets there. one big move up and left, and clipping the chain felt like the cruxes. A good route, grade about right, as well as the quality.
