I will now buy some new leashes to attach to my harness. Dropped one of my axes half way up.

Kinda climbed by accident. Thought it was slightly harder variation to Gully. Cracking effort by Amy on only 2nd proper winter route. Good condition.

ice wasn't properly formed and snow was very powdery, but a good first climb of the season must repeat some time further into the season.

Found it quite awkward and slipped off a poor hook.

Great climbing, worth a star or two. Start felt pushy and poorly protected but then you reach a huge Torque and gear. Above is a romp, with a nice bridging sequence. Worth seeking out.

Second route of day. Conditions were good, a little warm which left us wanting the turf to be a little more frozen and the snow a bit harder. Great moves up the gulley, some really nice high steps and torquing moves with the axes.

Route not in condition at all. No ice or even frozen turf. Very steep for a grade 4, especially with only powder to sink your axe into!
eldre070 - 2nd O/S - 28/Dec/09 with Karl, Dave Lomax
Swam up #2 gully to get to the route. Firm snow and a little ice at the bottom, but soon deteriorated back to soft snow and buried turf. Decent nut placements were there but hard to find, which made the sketchy moves up a little easier to make.

If this is the route we climbed and the description sounds ricght. Good climbing, bold low down as the ice and snow was melting and falling of also no gear. Upper section had been well hacked at by previous party and required lots of weird briging and thrutching to get round, really good fun though with sound gear and melting ice just where it was needed.
