150m.

Rockfax Description
150m. To the east (left) of the cliff is a long gully that runs all the way from the Chew Brook in the bottom, to the crest of the moor. This gives an excellent scramble (really quite easy for a Mod) and also offers the most interesting way to the cliff. It provides a good winter route under the right conditions though care is required as there have been avalanche accidents here. © Rockfax

Ticklists: Connoisseur's Classic Rock, Moorland Grit - The Essential Selection (Over The Moors), Scrambles in the Dark Peak (summer).

Been wanting to do this for ages. Just as good as hoped. Better than Wildboar? Yep. Best Peak district scramble done to date? Probably. Loads of water, which meant taking the falls direct was a fairly unique experience.

It was December but at 12C it felt like spring. Did it with 2 friends and a dog, we all had fun. Great place, great scenery, great thrill.

Brilliant scramble in an atmospheric setting. A bit greasy but it adds spice to an easy climb. Just wished it lasted a bit longer!

Expected this to be wet as hell as we approached - the valley stream was flowing freely. Very pleasantly surprised to find it iced up. Great fun - finished off day with pints in railway inn Greenfield - top pub with nice folk and good pies.

very nice, gully almost completly dry, very easy even for a scramble even picking the hardest line. Getting down to the start from the top was probably hardest

A little bit of ice at the top justified the use of crampons.

Kelly ticked this before I did. I lost the bet coffee and cakes on me. Excellent wet and cold rock. The sound of water rushing over your head adds to this route. Great expedition for a wet day out!
