25m. Traverse up and left over the lip of the roof to the arete and finish up this in a superb position with great climbing on perfect rock.

Ticklists: Skye Rock.

Really a better line than the original. Didn't find any "wild swing" or "barn door" moves, just slightly techy climbing with pretty small and dubious gear. Definitely still E2 5b.

I think there's some confusion on the grade choice for this route, The Pure Splendour Start still includes the top pitch of Veritas Splendour which the crux barn door moves at 5b are way above gear. The SMC guide has it correct at E2 5b.

Rested on the barndoor moves as couldn't get to grips with the technique

Have climbed the upper arete before. Amazing but possibly the softest E2 on the planet. HVS 5a ****?

All the better for being lichen clad. Nice lead by The Big Man. Superb.
