Seasonal Restrictions

Dates: 1 March to 30 June

Reason: Nesting Birds

The restriction applies to Buttresses 3-5 to protect nesting peregrines.

To the right of Barney Rubble etc is an obvious buttress with an overhang at 2/3 hight.
This route climbs the crack on the left side of the buttress to gain access to a hanging groove in the top wall. Start up the short rightwards facing groove taking care with a dubious block. Then move up into a wide crack. At it’s top make a stretch up right to gain a hand rail leading right. Make a few moves right the below a hanging pod. Summon up some strength and courage for a lurch to gain a pinch on the left arete of the pod/grove. Pull up into the pod and get established with difficulty. Continue to the top. A hanging rope is useful on the top section as the final wall is mungeful.
