I see why it gets the 3 stars. more than grade III. Did east of Edens first pitch to make it more interesting.
Mr Christian - Lead O/S - 05/Feb/15
3 stars is right but never grade 3!

Turf corner was not frozen so mostly climbing on rock. Definitely not an 80m climb; we did it using a 60m single.

First winter route for 25 years. Koflachs so old they snapped at the start! Good fun.
Julian Cooper - Lead O/S - 20/Jan/13 with Stuart Knott
In good conditions with well frozen turf, although not much consolidated snow ice. I thought it was more IV than III because it is sustained. You would definitely want the turfy corner frozen otherwise it would be quite unnerving.

Would of been nice but turf wasn't frozen and along with the lack of consolidated snow made it rather interesting!

Awkward corner, often off balanced, with no reassuring gear. Ice on the face to thin to committ to. Final moves requires a spicey move out onto the face. Great fun non-the-less.
TAKE CARE of loose blocks on the ground immediately above the route.
