Absolutely superb! The weather was scorchio! Top off leading P1 (which was SMC P1, 2 & 3 or Scottish Rock P1 & 2 linked) some bits were hard work in the heat, feet got quite sore at some points but that didn't detract from the great climbing throughout. 2nd 6a pitch also brilliant! I linked the last 6a pitch with the 'overhanging crack' at the start of the next pitch. This gave us 3 long 6a pitches, the climbing is brilliant and very involved and intricate throughout. What a route. What a day! Happy.

awesome. Originally a rescue mission to recover gear from Naked ape (Steve lead that previous day but Stu was too cold to second). What a route. Steve led 1st 6a, I led 2nd and Stu the 3rd and we all O/S them!

Onsight until I fell off the crux of pitch 5 then bailed. Felt done by this point long route that's tiring physically and mentally. Great route. Led Pitches 1-3 and half of 5!

Fell on the diagonal crack of P2 (6b?), then bailed from P5. Physically and mentally draining route.... brilliant climbing and positions....felt like an E5 to me. Pleased to get P4 o/s!

To the belay shared with Naked Ape then abbed into the gully. Tough right from the start (6a,6a/b,4a,6a maybe) and serious for both climbers in places especially reversing the mantle to the belay after retrieving the high gear on P4 (leave a backrope on the belay or you face a 50ft tumble should you fluff it - I forgot). Utterly brilliant climbing throughout.

Tricksy, tricksy... and a bit bold at times. But rather good. Took a wee fall on the last hard pitch just before the belay.
gforce - AltLd - 11/Jul/09 with Russ

Really good, bold and sustained with some superb exposure!
