Great Route! Led P1, seconded 2,3,4+6. Soloed P5. Dave thought it was full on grade 4 in some places. Ice is very thin Pitches 1 + 2 now!!!

Deliberately turned up at the bottom of the route at 2 pm, great result! No traffic. 2nd pitch was well dodgy to solo in lean/chopped up conditions. Fighting with my picks to stay in. 1 of them actually ripped out! The other 1 stayed put. THANK GOD! Otherwise, I wouldn't be writing this! The ice got better and better. In fact, top pitch had so much ice, it was worth just abbing down to do just that. Later another party topping out as I approached my sack at the bottom. So early start isn't recommended, especially for April. No need. Have a lie-in!

Shockingly good! At last! Thin at bottom, pushing tech 4/IV pitch 1/2. Rest = sustained III. Well worth us coming out of semi-winter-climbing-have-baby-now-more-responsible-retirement for! Surprise was how damn sublime the middle stuff was. Lovely and airy end to last pitch. Winter climbing doesn't get any better.

Amazing conditions, quite scary! Linked the first two pitches together then went around the forth as it looked quite thin. The last pitch is in very good condition with quite scary ice umbrella's/mushrooms at the top. All in all the best route I've done in winter!
