In one big pitch, placed 5 bits of gear. Good climbing.

Awesome climbing. Pretty straightforward, done in one big pitch on a single.

One pitch again, really nice climbing. One of the nicest routes we did here today.

hmm, I thought cloisters felt a bit hard. created a christmas tree of gear below the nut 8 - 12 move. once the holds were wet enough I decided to use the magic sloper on p3, then ben followed on crimps alone. outragous climb on a wowrl class crag. what's macloud ever done on earnshugh?

Led p.2 and 3. Bold, technical, exciting. An exceptional line.

Best route here surely, superb technical climbing all the way. Done as one brilliant long pitch, rope drag is fine if you extend a few runners (only 30m all up). 5c moves are satisfyingly technical and top pitch is a sensational runout finish up an exposed wall.....***

Didn't think much of P1, which has some dodgy cam placements as the only pro, but P2/3 are classics

I downclimbed from the crux on P1 thanks to a combination of drizzle, untrustworthy rock and general cowardice. Jim led P1 & P2 (running them together) and I led P3.

Led pitches 1 and 2 together. Felt top end E2.

Lead the first pitch clean, and second pitch 2 and 3 in the dark. One to repeat for sure.

a true classic. interesting climbing throughout, though very intimidating. henning led pitch 1 and 2 and i got the top (very exposed) pitch, must remember to tuck pants in to socks next time!
(i weighed the rope on p1/2 but led pitch 3 clean)
mulletcocktail2000 - AltLd O/S - 11/Jun/08 with henning
Led the two 5c pitches and Ryan demonstrated his 5b ability on the last pitch. Earnsheugh should make it into the next Scottish Climbs guide!

One of the best routes i have done on the coast. Superb! It has either been cleaned or wasn't in need of one.

Think this was the route. We did the E5 (well I did the crux on tommy anyway)
with the 5c roof crack start this day too. We camped near a Beefeater pub on the Motorway.
