Hidden - AltLd - 2013

Due to time restraints went to Clova and did B Gully with Calum and Paul as the other Ice routes were not quite in.Great day with good ice to climb at the head of the gully

VVV Thin and corrie looking very green with snow only realy on the plateau. Ice felt like 3/4 on main pitch.

Rubbish ice at the top, kept coming away, not reliable for gear or placements so had to down climb. The snow in the gully was fine. A good day out though.

great fun in spectacular weather and surroundings with a mixture of conditions encountered - in places very icy and in others very powdery. Crux icefall is currently hollow in places and goes at III by the easiest line

Big fat steep (for grade II!) ice pitch (pitch 2). Nasty powder walk in, but the route itself good, although ice slightly rank in places.

Lean conditions, easy solo with one short ice pitch at the top which was bit bold (no gear) on poor ice, see the photo in my gallery
