First pitch took the harder variant using the single crack in the middle of the base. Fourth pitch took harder variant left of the face over the exposed edge of the cliff.

ST went left for the first pitch. I tried the HS route for pitch two but backed down as top hold v polished, which scared me. Went right instead. ST tried right wall for pitch 3 to add interest but not great so led the nose. I went for the easy gully for pitch 4. Pleasant climb.

Did first two pitch variations (HS) second very polished and pumpy.Need to go back and make a better fist of this pitch BUT also want to go back and do the 'easier' but wonderfully exposed pitches all the way. Worth the 3 stars despite the VERYYYY LOUUUUD young lass up ahead...she pretty much trashed it for 1/2 a dozen climbers...my flippin ears r still bleeding.

It's an fairly easy VDiff if you take the easiest line (HVD? 3c? It's just a VDiff ok, HVD is such a stupid grade). The HS variations look nice. It was very cold today, but totally dry. Looking forward to going back in better weather and doing the harder bits. There is an easy scramble off the top, so descent is easy (I wish I'd known this before going up).

Nice first pitch, if a little polished at the bottom (follow the crack all the way rather than going off right). Pitches 2-3 felt like a scramble, and the last pitch was ok, but Didn't really think this was worth the 3 stars. More like 1 star. In hindsight we should have gone for the HS variation, which looked more interesting. Lunch on top of the tor afterwards was a good plan though! Great views.

This is a great climb especially for beginners or very low grade climbers, or in my case just for the pleasure of climbing in a stunning location. It is best done as two pitches as opposed to the suggested four or if your confident either solo it or move together. Heaps of other climbs all around once you have completed it. Beware of the wild mountain goats in the area, they stink to high heaven.... Also climbed with Dave Hart and Steven Jackson.
