First winter 2 scramble. Was great fun and a beautiful clear day with stunning views of glen coe. Great introduction to winter climbing and would highly recomend it. We took ropes harnesses and gear but didnt use any of it due to perfect conditions and there being few exposed parts. Would maybe only take a rope and slings (for harnesses and gear) next time if the weather was worse to protect the exposed traverses

Second ever winter climb. Fun but was more like a wet scramble due to the very bare and mild conditions. Me and Charlie did some variations lower down to make it more interesting and these felt like vdiff/s routes.

good romp up the ridge, made excellent day out of it by heading up to Bidean and Stob Coire nan Lochain, then dropping down Broad gully and checking out the Coire. We were some way down the path when Mike realised he had left his axe somewhere up there so we headed back up in the dark. He went back up the gully whilst I sat half way up in the starlight surveying the scene. No axe found but I think even Mike would agree it was a good day.

A superb climb - better than Dorsal Arete in my opinion and a lot less busy. We soloed most of it apart from the crux chimney/groove/slab pitch (which was pretty thin and interesting) and the thin section of the crest at the very top.

Only pitched one bit near start. A corner ramp by a slab on the right side of the ridge. Didnt really need to pitch it as was easy. Soloed the rest including the crux narrow section. Imagine it would be a bit trickier if buried under lots of fresh powder snow.

Was supposed to be an easy warm-up but took 12 hours! The route itself was OK - roped up for the short arete section. Then took ages to get to the summit of Stob Coire Sgreamhach (knee deep powder) and even longer to get down the NE ridge (abseiled the bad step). Then another hour just to get down the powder back into the valley.

Track bashed all the way to the base and then swam up gullies till reaching the mixed ground. Very easy grade 1 but a heartbreaker in powder!Soloed and moved together with wife.

Route suggested by Nev and he lead most of it, some pitched some moving together. Beautiful day but hard work in very loose and soft snow. took along time but the airy last ridge section just before summit was immense. Brilliant, have graded is haven't got a clue :-)
