Long day, descent in the dark. Why is it called the narrows when it's not narrow at all? tuukka - Lead O/S - 24/Sep/12 with Maija

Great wide stuff. Narrows not as narrow as expected. The pitch below and Wilson overhang proved to be the cruxes... 9hours and some minutes.
Careful on the approach! Leave your bags before the 4th class scramble up right at the base of Sentinel. Allow at least 2h for getting back to your rucksacks from the top, dont bother in the dark first time... Eetu - AltLd O/S - 28/Sep/09 with Olli

Not the best climb we did in Yosemite with some rock akin to Weetabix and a slow partner - but the descent was a true epic in the dark with a cigarette lighter for illumination. We didn't find either of the abseils but crashed through the undergrowth for a couple of hours until the valley floor appeared. Tent contained a flagon of wine & a tin of beans for sustenance, was woken up after 5 hours sleep with a splitting headache... petemeads - AltLd O/S - Jun/77 with Gary, trainee Buddhist
