Vasen Suora*** WI4
[The top sections of Vasen Suora on the left, Oikea Suora on the right (ToniJ climbing), 3 kb]Despite being called "left direct", this is actually the middle of the three distinct lines that form in the main area at Nuuksio.

The first 15 metres can be a free standing curtain, or in other winters merely a pillar, in which case bridging between it and the rock corner is normal. After the vertical ice follow slabs up through the halfway ledges to the final shorter vertical ice pitch. 35 mtrs.

Great! More like a M5/WI5 start this year. Delicate but fun.
JuhoK - Lead O/S - 04/Feb/15

Very wet, but exciting half rock/half ice at the beginning.

Quite substantial pillar this year. Maybe 8-10metres of vertical from the start.
Jody - Lead O/S - 14/Feb/12 with Sari Nevala, Eärendel

Weird ice on the bottom pillar.

Don't have the guts yet to lead on melting, thin pillars. Maybe next year if it forms...
