set off up pitch one. turns out the entire crack was wet. continued to just below the overhanging traverse, realised it wasnt going to get any better. so clipped an old peg and downclimbed to retreat. wank, looked like it was going to be a good route too! must go back in the summer once it's dried out and theres no slime in the crack. good knee bar jam at the top for a rest though! haha. hopefully i'll get my retreat crab back too...
