The mountain is located together with the Mittlere and Hintere Hintereisspitzen on the south side of the glacier Gepatschferner . These peaks reach about a hundred meters above the ice out.

The peak can be ascended in several ways. The route we used was to ascend the far right hand ridge line (looking away from the Brandenburgerhaus). This starts as loose scrambling then steepens where it can be pitched for 2-3 pitches depending on the exact path you follow. Variable grade depending on which weakness you follow, ranging between F to PD. One section I climbed would be comparable to UK VS 4b/c but easily avoidable.
Descent by the long snaking ridge that vaguely points back to the Brandenburgerhaus crossing one exposed snowy arête.
