Very good route on solid clean rock, though obviously rarely traveled these days. Very bold though, novice Diff leaders beware... A cracking Dumby esoterica tick!
Interesting Abseil of the Castle light!
Really enjoyable route. Novel start at the water's edge. Good rock line, with only one patche of grass to handle. Rock almost uncomfortably warm! Abseiled down the main face from the 'abseil tree'. Worthy of multiple stars, and felt sound for a Diff.
Loved it! Great location and fun climbing.

I think a lot of the gear now resides under grass. While easy climbing it was quite bold for the grade.

Er.. so me and a mate decided to solo it together; got near to the top before he got a bit panicked, so I ended up downclimbing and re-soloing it with a rope to guide him up the last bit. Whoops. First time I've solo'd a route three times in one day (two up, one down).
Including the great escape to get back down because all the gates where locked!!!

I want to vote on the difficulty of this climb, but I can't choose V. Diff., which I definitely think it is. I would like to see UKC remove the HD grade from these charts.
Up and then back down again I think.
