Removed most of the dead tree (sorry, but it did come off rather easily!). The remaining stump is still useable, if necessary. VS 5a.

Tree is quite rotten. Route basically ends once you reach it.

Top tip - don't get a really good foot jam just below the tree then fall off to end up hanging upside down by your foot 'cos it hurts.

Thinking Mike might be right about VS 5a. With hexes and/or a big cam or two, of course.
bpmclimb - TR rpt - 07/May/13 with Shunt
Was tempted to solo it - glad I didn't. Really quite tricky just below the dead tree.

A sting it is!tougher than it looks, and the bee sitting on the crux made things a little awkward

Nice climbing with a short but steep crux. Can't decide whether it warrants the grade or not as I am good at Jamming. The protection is excellent and you need nothing bigger than a friend 4. Would suggest VS 5a would be more appropriate as its harder than the file technically, but not sustained and very easy to protect well...

Backed off from the crux on lead, climbed it ok second. Have to go back for the lead.
