Restricted Access
Gate for Canto Cochino opens at 9 a.m. Once the gate is open follow the road through the forest to its end where there is a large car park and Bar. Gate closes at 10pm - Dont be late!!Also you should check seasonal bird bans, ask the rangers at the main entrance for Canto Ccochino (if they are there)
There is no restriction at the El Tranco car park, and no barrier - you can access all the park from here but its a longer walk!
Rockfax Description
A classic route, that shows what the pioneers of this wall were capable of.
1) 3a, 25m. Start by a tree and traverse horizontally left across ledge to reach a belay.
2) 6a+, 15m. A tough move off the ledge, past a bolt, leads to easier climbing past another bolt to a ledge.
3) 5b, 35m. Make a bold traverse left past a distant and lonely bolt and then continue to the base of a black streak. Follow this with trepidation to reach a bolt just before a belay near the hole.
4) 5b, 25m. Move out right and then make a diagonal rising traverse past two bolts to reach a belay in a break.
5) 5b, 45m. Move out right below the bulge then move up the side of it, past a bolt. Head back up and left to reach a belay below two cracks in the bulge above.
6) 5b, 50m. Move up and left to gain the right-hand of two cracks above the bulge and follow this to easier ground. © Rockfax
