Great route, and the first longer multi-pitch for both me and my partner! Lead the odd pitches. The scariest moment is probably getting from bolt 2 to bolt 3 on the first pitch - it gets better afterwards! (In fact, a team ahead of us retreated having saw this initial part). Still, many would appreciate shorter distances between bolts throughout the route. The traverse pitch (P2) is the highlight (and is 5b/c in the guidebook now)

Climbed with John Makin. This was a top quality route - one of my favourate during a week of ticking the classics. Excellent quality rock and each pitch is a good as the previous. Quite long traverses left and then back right on the first couple of pitches, so requires a confident and competent second. Great value and a quick and straight forward abseiled descent.

6 pitches; I led 1,3,5. P1 is quite bold. The traverse on p2 is exposed and exciting for the grade.Just began to rain as we finished p8 & started to ab down. Another good route forllowing a devious but natural line up the crag

Fine climbing throughout, but particularly enjoyed the technical groove on P3. Done on a sunny Bastille Day: thought lots of French teams would be out but in fact it was very quiet. Guess everyone was enjoying a leisurely family lunch. Led Ps 1,3,5.
