300m. Start at a large detached block and climb the spur to where it meets the Papillon Ridge. Can be a little chilly in the morning.

Good climbing on decent rock. we went up over the Papillon and rapelled in to the usual descent gulley on the Peigne. Best done with half ropes as the route would cause a lot of drag with a single, probably shortening pitches significantly.

interesting grade 5 leads!! Usually can do 6a but did three pitches of what felt like desparate climbing before retreating. it did start raining but we would have had to retreat in perfect weather. Have done papillons, aiguille de gliere, grade 5 face routes on index, nabot leon on balitiere. partner had done frendo spur and aigille peuteury noire. It felt very hard.
