Very wet and some what spicy due to the rain. Crux was definitely the little tower as it was so wet; a fine lead from Gaz "good to go" Evans. Cleared up as we reached the Great Tower, from then on it was fantastic.

Not quite an O/S as I've done it in winter but its quite different. We finished Torro at 4pm and thought this would be a good double, an hour later we were on the summit, shirts off enjoying the sunshine! Bone dry all the way and quite fun, airy and juggy climbing if you stick to the crest all the way, except for Eastern Traverse. Thought about jumping the gap but was a bit breezy....great day out....

Awesome day out. Weather was superb! Thought the climb out of the eastern traverse was a wee bit Spicy and really enjoyed the Gap. Another quality day on the Ben and Andy + Kenny ended up involved in a rescue. Everyone was ok, and they got a lift off the hill in the helicopter - beats walking.

Wet, damp rock, took us a long time. Traversed under the great tower from the Eastern Traverse and re-joined the ridge by the gap. Rock quality generally not as good as we would have expected. A long day made longer by carrying some 70 year old down the last stretch of the tourist path in the dark as his legs had gone!

not sure about the date, weather was perfect. tried to flank left too early looking for the chimney, several paths lead to the left where others have made the same mistake. Stay on the ridge as long as possible the chimney is clearly visible from the ridge.

in descent which was really nice. gravity assisted. must reverse routes more often for this reason. east gully out of dougles gap is to be avoided as pretty manky experience. better to scramble out to the right before making the descent into d gap perhaps.

A great Spring day - wet snow at the base eventually turning to deep powder further up. Intermittent blue skies and blizzards! Consequently roped whole route and belayed the Gap.

Light snow in the valley turned to heavy deep snow about half way up, but a light wind made for an awesome day. Moved together most of the way but pitched the gap.

Was shocked to find continuous snow cover all the way from Douglas gap. About a foot deep in places. Certainly not winter nick though as it was quite slushy and no Ice at all. Very time consuming wiping away the snow off all the hand holds and footholds but only slightly slippier than normal wet conditions. Had to melt the snow off some of the handholds using my fingers which resulted in lots of hot aches. Well done to the girls for talking me in to taking them up. Great day!!!!

With John and Cleggy. Crap weather, no viz. Massive rockfall in adjacent gully (observatory?) rumblings continued for ~40 seconds. Scary.

The rock was damp so made the route interesting. My second ascent of the ridge (Done it in winter) and made the mistake of heading left on what I thought was the Eastern traverse too early! A common mistake I have been told. Climb up along the ridge until you reach a steep wall where you can't go any further, the Eastern traverse starts there. Couldn't see anything all day again! Oh well.

shrouded in mist for the whole climb. short-roped with 2 pitches lead climbing under slippery conditions. eastern traverse (still under snow) and upper snow slopes were a bit dicy in approach shoes(should have at least brought an axe). at least 3 sizable avalanches and rockfalls in the surrounding gullies... shame we couldn't see them.

Alan led everything apart from the short horizontal section from the top of the Great Tower until Tower Gap. Sunny weather and no snow below the Eastern Traverse, but lots of loose rock and the sound of falling ice every few minutes made for a spooky experience.

Brilliant. Its easily one of the best ways to climb the Ben. Wasn't sure where the eastern traverse was but when you get to the point when you cant climb the tower anymore its the only obvious option. Tower gap was fantastically exposed and nicer to hop across instead of abbing to the bottom. Climbed in boots, roped together.

Only climber on Tower Ridge and perfect weather. Started at the North Face Car Park, climbed Tower Ridge, Descended Ledge Route, climbed Castle Ridge, then descended the South Side and followed the path that skirts back to the CIC hut.

Fab trundle up TR in sunshine. Dry rock, Tower Gap fine. I had the whole ridge to myself. Took loads of photos. I topped out and found summit crowded with 3-Peaks parties. Descended over CDM arete. Perfect day.

great day - fantastic weather and the gap was def. the highlight. Left summit at 6pm and at 8.30 encountered injured walkers just below 1st aluminium bridge. Tried to help them down but they physically couldn't stand. Called mountain rescue at 9.30 who were there by 10.40 and stretchered them off. Great job. Back to camp site at 11.30! long day but awesome!

Cloud inversion at top of Great Tower.Roped up for Tower Gap (lead) Topped out at 1-30pm. Cloud inversion round Carn Mor Dearg Arete looked so inviting we did that and Carn Mor Dearg as well! Well knackered by the time we got down. A fantastic day!

hot hot hot. Pitched the climb out of Douglas Gap and then the eastern traverse to the end. got held up at the eastern traverse but was kept entertained by the guys skiing down obseratory gully. Some snow at the end so took the opportunity to use the axe I'd lugged up. passable without the axe tho :-) 3hrs from base of douglas boulder to the eastern traverse.

Rainy day but decided to go for it anyway. Arrived at the CIC at 11:59 after walking up from Glen Nevis (set off at 10:00). As we were a bit late setting off, we decided to omit the Douglas Boulder. Climbed in rain all the way. Claggy - Vis 20m. Arrived at the shelter on the summit @ 17:30. Back at the tent in Glen Nevis @ 21:00. In the Everest an hour later for Kingfisher & curry.
