Poor, melting conditions yet the route was still amazing! Very soft and very thin ice in places, but generally bomber belays. Final cascade (steep 3D Gully) had almost completely melted, so we finished here. The route will be gone next week!

Absolutely brilliant climb - ice well formed and in top nick - a couple of places where water running underneath and thin but mostly thick. Top pitch on left especially good - lovely setting.

Chris and Jeff on route as well. Great climb with wonderful 3 dimensional ice - best route of the week.

Did 3/4 of the route in 3 pitches, then ran out of daylight. Interesting 3rd pitch!

only did first pitch, to busy then went left and back down a dodgey exit thru deep snow and small trees

Absolutely awesome route!! Apart from two sections of easy-angled snow/ice slope of 60 metres ish in total, the entire route (300m) is continuous steep ice falls with the grades no less than WI3 almost in every single move! Even the final pitch provides another challenging vertical wall.
We climbed mainly in the left-hand side, although it looks slightly steeper than the right, as there were other parties climbing on the right-hand side (this is a justifiably popular route, apparently). We found bolts tend to lack in the left-hand side, and so at one stage I constructed the belay with an Avalakov thread and rock gear (TriCam). Graeme lead P1, P3, P5, P7(deep gully), whereas I lead P2, P4, P6(snow), P8, where P1 and P2 are 60 metres long and the others are roughly 30 metres long for each.

absolutely brilliant climb. Interesting and sustained throughout. only downside was that it was V busy with 4 other parties on it.

Penultimate pitch is easy but most beautiful. Frigtards were top roping the curtain on the left on the top pitch when we got there, so we diverted right.
