THE classic rock ridge of the Swiss alps! Combining an ascent of the Rothorngrat with the descent of the North ridge is surely the finest way to take in one of the finest summits of the alpine 4000ers, giving a long, sustained and aesthetic line which sustains the interest throughout.

50m rope and alpine rock rack required, 2 axes may be desirable for the approach couloir in late season/lean years.
