Steady climbing as long as you don't get off line on the top slaby section. Turf and snow consolidated and in reasonable nick.

Not very winter apart from the cold wind. Most of the snow blown off. No ice. Crampons still helped though.

Fresh snow on route, leaving rocks slippy underneath, but some snow consolidated in cracks and grooves made good holds for crampons (which were essential) to dig into. Below zero down to -5 on the ridge. Windy but protected on north side of the ridge. Hard work, tricky in places.

Good day out with quite a few Ilkley College climbers. One of them lost a daschstein mitt on the top, just a second of carelessness and the wind took it away. That was a good lesson to learn on my first winter route.
