Rongai route. Horrendous headaches at third camp. Incredible four day rest in the north part of Zanzibar afterwards. Superb holiday.

Rongai. Great weather, no snow (some hail though), rapidly receeding glacier. Absolutely stupendous views at sunrise at Stellar Point, which is on the way to the summit from Gilman's Point (better than from the actual summit). This would be a great easy mountain if acclimatised and everyone else on it was vapourised. Make no mistake, this is physically and mentally HARD if you are not used to altitude trekking, arrive unacclimatised and do it in 6 days or less.
