Good fun. Got soaked by long grass. Kicking steps with trainers. Took an easier line I think

Like climbing shredded wheat. Fun in a very perverse way.

Done drunk, no sleep, at first light, after a row, after two weeks of rain. She did it in pyjamas. Great route. Think we trended right towards the top. E9 2a.

XS atleast. never have i been so terrified on a climb. didnt stick to the gully, took the face to the right for alot of it.
Steeve - Solo O/S - 17/Sep/11
Good dirty fun. Not as hard or as scary as Hard XS makes it look.

OH MY GOD! This is not a scramble or a climb......Potentially would have been easier with ice axes, but then there wouldn't have been half as much fun. Fantastic climb. Steep, loose and very dangerous last section. First bit is ok, if you just keep going and don't look back. Awesome time.

Snow free despite the date. Suppose I had to do this sometime. Mildly idiotic.

Done this a fair few times in summer conditions. Definatly an acquired taste, but well worth it for the awesome situations. Easy scrambling on shale/grass/rock until the final headwall, which is quite dangerous and rather frightening! Not as good as the gully on Back Tor as a summer scramble, but still great fun.

Oh my God this route is something else.
None of the holds are attached to the face, neither is the grass or mud for that matter. The whole thing is like climbing up a down escalator. There is very real potential for all your holds to give way simultaniously on this route, resulting in a fall of potentially hundreds of feet.
I notice it's graded here as a grade 3 scramble! LOL, that's somewhat misleading.

Slippery and scary in the gully to start, then trended slightly right up grass to the top. Frightening but satisfying

Backed off about 10m from the top. Rank stupidity.
