Blue sky, white snow. Cold at valley (-10c). The route was mobbed with steady stream of people climbing it all day. Nice little solo. Had a look at the bottom of the pillar near the top. Soaked after a couple of moves. Went back the day later. Only to find Scott Muir on top. Gutted. At least I got myself on the front page of the Scotsman the day after.

Large icicle left the wall above and fell on Pat during his ascent. Bit predictable really but he surivived 3 tonnes of ice. Very nice climb, in good nick.
