2nd pitch too slushy
Lots of ice on our heads from the party above. The ice just funnels all the way down the gully to the start of P1.
Lead 1st and 4th pitch . Harder than expected due to bad ice conditions and lots of ice from French climbers above. So9me odd abseil points.
Euan Fowler, Brian Shackleton
Al lead first 120 m I lead last 60m. Busy on first couple of pitches being weekend.
Kimball Morrison, Mark J
from poor peg on lhs, Geoff led 60m to belay on 3 screws. I led p2 and belayed as the angle eased. I noted ab station on true left rock wall.GG led another rope length to an Abalakov, missing the double bolt belay hidden under an icicle in rock wall on the true right. Abbed down, GG missed ab station, but there are at least 2 double bolt ab stations on the true lhs which take you down to the bottom of the route. GG should have gone to Specsavers!
