Massive choss fest makes the top a bit sketchy, but lower down the moves are great. Worth it for the satisfaction of slinging the birch.

Chossy! What a way to ease back in from winter via a route that perfectly reenacts my favourite parts: spindrifty dirt and pebbles blowing down the route, large chunks of rock requiring below calls (a very close call which a lucky random step to the left stopped my head getting caved in). HVS simply for the top out. Fun moves up until then so its a shame.

WARNING- ROCKFALL (ROUGHLY 1m SIZE BLOCK), may be other loose rock in the top section (after tree). Some funky positions up to the tree, pretty loose up the dirty gully so I back and footed the more solid walls. Will then pulled off a ~1m block on the 2nd, fell off, the block hit the ledge by the tree and shattered, one bit rolled into Kat on the ground, hitting her leg. Pretty scary since I couldn't see owt from the belay, just heard a massive crash and thought we'd made a Kat pancake! Luckily everyone was OK.
