Cryn Las Scramble** 3

Adjacent Climbs
<< The Overhanging Arete

Schoolmaster's Gully >>
[Scrambling on Cyrn Las, 3 kb]150m. Left of the main crag. Scrambles up the slabs just to the right of the stream. The initial slab has some balancy moves for 10m or so (and few gear placements), and then the climb eases considerably and is a lovely grade 1 until the top. The tricky start can be avoided by crossing the stream and walking around on the left.

Our first grade 3, so climbed it with no ropes with heavy bags and trainers. Won't make that mistake again! Worth it to get to bivvy at Cym Glas though.

moving together. initial steep section was interesting in big boots, the easiest line is a bit devious, but there is gear if you look for it

Initial slab was quite balancy for a scramble. Made a belay and gave a tight rope to Claire & Andy, before we took off the rope and made easy work of the rest of the route (grade 1). Sticky approach shoes & rucksack
