Cryn Las** 3
[Scrambling on Cyrn Las, 3 kb]150m. Left of the main crag. Scrambles up the slabs just to the right of the stream. The initial slab has some balancy moves for 10m or so (and few gear placements), and then the climb eases considerably and is a lovely grade 1 until the top. The tricky start can be avoided by crossing the stream and walking around on the left.

Climbed steep bottom pitch with Dave. Keith went round the side and we scrambled the rest together.

Trevers - 2nd - 15/Mar/14 with wjcdean

Lead the initial skirt (as per 'easy climbs and scrambles') in big boots with rucks sack which was, erm, interesting! next time i would probably take the easy route around to the right. Moved together for the rest

We climbed it unroped. Great scramble, though rock was wet and greasy most of the way up.

Our first grade 3, so climbed it with no ropes with heavy bags and trainers. Won't make that mistake again! Worth it to get to bivvy at Cym Glas though.

moving together. initial steep section was interesting in big boots, the easiest line is a bit devious, but there is gear if you look for it

Wet day. Quite slippery, so initial slabs (the grade 3 section) were negotiated by non-direct line. Rest is grade one according to the guide book, but you can make it harder by tackling the little steps by various lines. This would be a good scramble on a nicer day, with a very pleasant waterfall at the top.
