Northern Limestone : Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire

Northern Limestone : Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire covers some of the best limestone crags in the UK including the big three of Malham, Kilnsey and Gordale. Alongside these titans are numerous other destinations that offer both sport and trad climbing throughout the grades, ranging from the intimidating walls of Blue Scar and Trow Gill to the long lines of newly-developed low to mid-grade sport crags such as Moughton Nab and Giggleswick South. Trad climbing is also well catered for on the walls and escarpments at the likes of Trowbarrow Quarry, Twistleton Scar, Attermire Scar and Witches Quarry.

Out of print:
There is a large loose block just above the start of Feizor. Attempts to dislodge it have left it sticking out at an angle - a pull from below would remove it, but I wouldn't recommend trying!
John Brayshaw - 13/Jul/15
Nice venue with some great routes, starting the climbs was harder than expected. Overall nice area with fairly solid rock.
Jordanh031 - 24/Oct/13
Good climbing but they can be hard starts (no protection) with possible broken limbs if you fall before the first protection is placed. Apert from that it's a great place.
Booey - 31/Aug/08
A great little venue for ticking off some good VSs. Easy access, south facing and solid.
GrahamD - 02/Nov/05
Good mid-grade choice. Dries quick as is approach.PM sun and not much loose. If trad lime suits and/or no gritstone dry worth a peep
