Crag features

Most of the routes are now fully bolted. Quite popular (though a second-tier sandstone crag): clean rock and good pro, but misses the afternoon sun. Routes up to 21m. When trad, had routes such as Silent Movies (HVS 5a*), Sea Shells on the Seychelles (E1 5b**) and By Appointment Only (E3 6a*).

Approach notes

Head for Ferndale town. In the centre is a 4-way junction: from Porth, turn L here up the hill past the Working Men's Club to a parking place beyond the houses.

Walk up the hill to the quarry (5 mins).
