Slieve Beg

Climbs 60 – Rocktype Granite – Altitude 583m a.s.l – Faces SW

Crag features
Slieve Beg offers some the best climbing in the Mournes, but suffers from lack of traffic as many are deterred by the extra half-hour's walk from Cove. Many excellent single and multi pitch routes, particularly in the VS-E3 range..

Access notes
Allow 1.5 hours walk in either:

1) along the Annalong Valley

2) from Newcastle over the Slieve Donard/Slieve Commedagh col.
