Bauston Tor Derbyshire, ENGLAND
Climbs 13 – Rocktype Gritstone – Altitude 184m a.s.l – Faces NE
A tree hidden buttress, usually green and only of interest to those after esorteria, although if you can climb hard enough an evenings visit is worthwhile. Bad News for Slab Climbers at E5 6a is the star climb here and a worthy challenge at the grade. Recent visit by Dan Honneyman has produced an E6 testpiece.
From Black Rocks follow the High Peak Trail east until it passes over a path at a bridge. Head right (uphill) along the path. 20mins max. A quicker approach is to follow Intake Lane out of Cromford to it's end then walk a few hundred yards up a track to the crag.
