Crag features
Nice quiet place for an evening's climbing ... you'll be lucky to see many others there. Some great routes around VS. Good routes are Six Nipples Of Love (E1 5b) and the the three Necromicon lines (E2 5c, E1 5b & VS 4c). Some belay posts are a bit on the loose side. a new line worth doing was put up right of phantom trundler in june 2008 "the policemans backyard" climbs a thin crack and straight through the over hang(peg) at E1 5b

Access notes
Leave the A556 (Walmersley Rd) at the traffic lights (Post Office) onto Walmersley Old Rd. Follow road for 800m as it goes round the back of the Mason's Arms pub and over the motorway. Continue through Nangreaves. Park as the road finally deteriorates into a rough track. Walk up for 200m and climb an old white gate on the right. Cross the field keeping the old dry stone on your left. Pass through the next gate and turn right. Follow fence to top of quarry. DON'T TAKE A SHORT CUT THROUGH THE FARM. DO CALL IN THE LORD RAGLAN (NANGREAVES) FOR A PINT OF REAL ALE ON THE WAY OUT.

29/08/12 Note. The "Old White Gate" isn't old or white anymore. It's a double gate, one site of which is galvanised. A sinlgle big white(ish)post remains.
