Climbs 8 – Rocktype Quartzite – Altitude ? – Faces S
Mental Block (E5 6a ***) "piece de resistance" of the South Hams! Several new routes added in 1997 as outlined in Javu guide here: http://www.javu.co.uk/Climbing/NewRoutes/
Help required please on how 'Battle of the Bulge' sits with the new 1997 additions. Thanks.
As for Elender Cove until above the beach. Beyond the cove there is a rocky spur jutting seaward. Follow the path until atop it then continue along a thin track which follows the ridge to reach a rocky outcrop. Descend diagonally LWs down the steep seaward slope (beyond the outcrop) to another outcrop above the sea. This is the top of the crag. Either abseil in , or zigzag down the grassy cwm on the right. I think the routes are described from R to L looking out (so L to R looking in!)
