The buttresses take a lot of drainage in winter and are "getting back to nature".

Walk in from the cattle grid on the Pately Bridge road

1 Km over the moor.

Visited yesterday after rain the previous day - crag was dry and most routes were clean, if a little heathery to top out. Solitude is an excellent esoteric E3, worth a pop for a afternoon/evening.
